BASIC BIBLE RESEARCH TOOLS:
The King James Bible and Strong's Concordance
For me, the best starting point in doing Bible research is to have both a printed version and an online version of the King James Bible (KJV) and Strong's Exhaustive Concordance. The search engine that I use most often for the King James Bible is . . .
http://www.biblegateway.com - This lets you search for English words and Bible verses in the King James Bible (plus many other Bible versions).. . . and the online Strong's Concordance that I like to use is . . .
http://www.eliyah.com/lexicon.html - This gives you the Hebrew and Greek words used in the original Bible texts, along with their English transliterations, pronunciations, and meanings. With these two tools, you can go a very long way in your study of the Bible.
And when I need to copy more than just a few verses of Bible text, I usually use the Public Domain KJV text on my page at http://www.internetchurchofchrist.org/kjvpage.html .
