We Are Not Bound By The Religious Commandments Of Men

We are bound to follow the religious commandments of Jesus and only the commandments of Jesus.

He specifically warns us against following the religious commandments of men.

       
              "But in vain they do worship me, teaching for doctrines the
               commandments of men." (Matthew 15:9 KJV)

              "Howbeit in vain do they worship me, teaching for doctrines
               the commandments of men." (Mark 7:7 KJV)

Paul also warns against following the religious commandments of men.


              "Not giving heed to Jewish fables, and commandments of men,
               that turn from the truth." (Titus 1:14 KJV)

So if anybody tries to tell you there are certain things you must do or not do , or else it is a sin, you should ask them to show you where Jesus commands it. If Jesus doesn't command it, you don't have to do it.

Jesus instructs us to follow His commandments, not anyone else's.

               Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in

               commanded you: and, lo, I am with you alway, even unto the
               end of the world. Amen.
