love makes us holy and blameless before god

First, We Must Love God, Totally And Completely

In our entire life, now and through eternity with Him, our love for Him comes first. It should totally and completely dominate our life. It should be the strongest feeling we feel, totally saturating our every moment.

Jesus said it was the most important commandment, greater than all the others.


                                          
             MATTHEW 22
             35
                    Then one of them, which was a lawyer, asked him a
                    question, tempting him, and saying,
             36
                    Master, which is the great commandment in the law?
             37
                    Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God
                    with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with
                    all thy mind.
             38
                    This is the first and great commandment.

This is based on earlier scripture . . .

  
              "And thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all
               thine heart, and with all thy soul, and with 
               all thy might." (Deuteronomy 6:5 KJV)

If we love God in this way, we know that we are also called according to His purpose. Therefore, all things that happen work together for our own good.

                                      

  "And we know that all things work together for good to 
   them that love God, to them who are the called according
   to his purpose." (Romans 8:28 KJV)

He has wonderful treasures waiting for those who love Him.


    "But lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where
     neither moth nor rust dost corrupt, and where theives
     do not break through nor steal." (Matthew 6:20 KJV)

    " . . . Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have
     entered into the heart of man, the things which God
     hath prepared for them that love him." (1 Corinthians
     2:9 KJV)
     
    "Delight thyself also in the Lord; and he shall give
     thee the desires of thine heart." (Psalms 37:4 KJV)

    "And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes;
     and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor
     crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the
     former things are passed away." (Revelation 21:4 KJV)
