When The Moment Of Death Is Upon You . . .

For many people, there comes a time when they realize they are about to die immediately. Maybe they are in an airplane, going down. Maybe they are in a car, sliding out of control into an oncoming truck. Maybe they are students in Littleton, when the demon-possessed open fire.

I was thinking about this yesterday: "What should we do when we have only a few seconds left to live?" Then, earlier today, the Lord showed me this verse, and it provides the perfect example: do what Stephen did when he was being stoned to death. Call upon God and say, "Lord Jesus, receive my spirit."

       receive my spirit." (Acts 7:59 KJV)

"Lord Jesus, receive my spirit." What words could be more perfect for a dying Christian than these?
