A person's religion is the sum total of his beliefs about God and the supernatural. Christianity, Judaism, and Islam are the three "monotheistic" religions, with belief in one God, Creator of all things.
Some other religions are "polytheistic," with belief in many ("poly") gods, each with different functions.
Atheism is the religion whose belief about God is that there is no God.
"The fool hath said in his heart, There is no God."

"All scripture is inspired by God and profitable for
teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for training in
righteousness, that the man of God may be complete,
equipped for every good work." (1 Timothy 3:16-17 RSV)
From Deceiving Spirits (Greek DAIMONION) . . .
"No, I imply that what pagans sacrifice they offer to
demons and not to God. I do not want you to be partners
with demons." (1 Corinthians 10:20 RSV)
"Now the Spirit expressly says that in later times some
will depart from the faith by giving heed to deceitful
spirits and doctrines of demons, (1 Timothy 4:1 RSV)
"The rest of mankind, who were not killed by these plagues,
did not repent of the works of their hands nor give up
worshiping demons and idols of gold and silver and bronze
and stone and wood, which cannot either see or hear or
walk; (Revelation 9:20 RSV)
"And the great dragon was thrown down, that ancient
serpent, who is called the Devil and Satan, the deceiver
of the whole world--he was thrown down to the earth, and
his angels were thrown down with him." (Revelation 9:12

From The Minds Of Men . . .

The Six Certainties Of The Christian Faith
1. There is one God, Creator of all things.
2. The Bible is the one true and complete written Word of God.
3. Jesus Christ is the only-begotten Son of God.
The words "only-begotten" mean "only-fathered," that
is, Jesus is the only human ever directly physically
fathered by God.
4. Jesus was crucified, dead and buried, then rose from the dead, by
the power of God, and lives today in Heaven and in the hearts of those
who believe in Him.
5. If we believe in Him, we will not perish, but will have eternal
life, forever with Him.
"Believing in Him" means: that we accept the fact that
He is Son of God, risen from the dead; that we accept
Him as our own personal Lord; that we try to follow
His commandments as best we know how; that we are
always willing to declare our faith in Him, openly and
without hesitation.
This fifth certainty leads easily into "The Gospel Of
Jesus Christ, Simplified," which is . . .
"You give yourself totally to Him, and
He takes good care of you forever."
6. The most important thing He wants us to do is to love: to love God
first of all, then to love all other people the same as we love
ourselves, using His love for us as our example.

"For God so loved the world, that he gave his
only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth
in him should not perish, but have everlasting
life." (John 3:16 KJV)
Nevertheless, we as Christians are called to love all other people as we love ourselves. Our love for others must not be limited to those of our own beliefs. If we love only those of our own Christian family, we are no different from non-believers, who love their own families, too.
