Blessings to you, the readers of this page, in Jesus Christ our Lord. May He guide you and protect you always.
Earlier, I had written an answer to this question which was unacceptable to the Lord, and He rebuked me for it. I let my own thinking run away from His thinking. He wants me to be a "Bible Christian," and not stray very far away from accepted Pentecostal doctrine. Why? Who knows, but I always try to do what He clearly tells me to do. Is Pentecostal doctrine the only acceptable doctrine to the Lord? It seems unlikely, yet He is telling me to follow it closely, and not to wander off on my own excursions.
The correct answer is, "Whatever the Lord calls them to do, they should do." The same is true with men, "Whatever the Lord calls them to do, they should do."
As He says . . .
". . . Obey my voice, and I will be your God . . ." (Jeremiah
7:23 KJV)
The scripture with highest authority in the matter of men and women
is Galatians 3:28, which declares that men and women are the same in
Christ Jesus.
"There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither bond nor
free, there is neither male nor female: for ye are all one
in Christ Jesus." (Galatians 3:28)

Now it is true that there are other scriptures which appear to require
women to be subordinate to men. And there are similar scriptures which
require slaves to be subordinate to their owners.
These scriptures addressed the realities of life in the first century A. D. Women needed then to be subordinate to men. Their society was organized this way. Likewise, slaves needed to be subordinate to their masters.
Today, we have no slaves. And women are no longer subject to men. These old social structures have passed away, and we now have new ones.
Nevertheless, we have these scriptures, cited below. And as Bible-believing Christians, we need to take them very seriously.
"But I suffer not a woman to teach, nor to usurp authority
over the man, but to be in silence." (1 Timothy 2:12 KJV)
"Let your women keep silence in the churches: for it is not
permitted unto them to speak; but they are commanded to be
under obedience as also saith the law.
"And if they will learn any thing, let them ask their
husbands at home: for it is a shame for women to speak in
the church."
1 Corinthians 14:34-35 (KJV)
"Servants, obey in all things your masters according to the
flesh; not with eyeservice, as menpleasers; but in
singleness of heart, fearing God;" (Colossians 3:22 KJV)
"Servants, be obedient to them that are your masters
according to the flesh, with fear and trembling, in
singleness of your heart, as unto Christ;" (Ephesians 6:5
KJV)
"Servants, be subject to your masters with all fear; not
only to the good and gentle, but also to the froward.
(1 Peter 2:18 KJV)
NOTE: In two of the three passages mentioning "servants,"
the correct literal translation of the Greek is "slaves."
All of these earlier instructions need to be understood as
part of Jesus' commandment to render unto Caesar the things which are
Caesar's:
"And Jesus answering said unto them, Render to Caesar the
things that are Caesar's, and to God the things that are
God's. And they marvelled at him." (Mark 12:17 KJV)
"They say unto him, Caesar's. Then saith he unto them,
Render therefore unto Caesar the things which are
Caesar's; and unto God the things that are God's."
(Matthew 22:21 KJV)
May the Lord bless this presentation of His holy Word.
