The words of Jesus are the most important words in the Bible. His words are spirit and they are life itself. His words, and His alone, should be the foundation of our life. As Jesus says, "the words that I speak unto you, they are spirit, and they are life." (John 6:63b KJV)
As Bible Christians, we believe in the Bible as the Word of God, sufficient for all good works.
"All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is
profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction,
for instruction in righteousness: That the man of God
may be perfect, throughly furnished unto all good
works." (2 Timothy 3:16-17 KJV)
And we also believe that we should live by every word that comes from
the mouth of God.
"But he answered and said, It is written, Man shall
not live by bread alone, but by every word that
proceedeth out of the mouth of God." (Matthew
4:4 KJV, quoting Deuteronomy 8:3)
Nevertheless, some words in the Bible are more important than others.
Some words should be the foundation, and others should be the
ornaments on the roof.
The Bible itself says that the words of Jesus are the most important words, the foundation of our life.
