Back To Shore

NOTE: When you read this prayer, try to imagine hearing my voice as I speak
it to you.  In this way, the prayer is reactivated, and it is the same
as if I were actually praying for you at that moment.
(Just like television prayers are reactivated when you watch 
them, although the videotape may have been shot years before.)




             
               You wanted to row out upon the lake.
               The day was bright and sunny, so you went.
               And as you rowed, the time passed quickly by.
               You did not notice as the sky grew dark.
               And now, the wind is blowing, and the waves
               Are pounding hard against your tiny boat.
               The shore appears so very far away.
               And suddenly, your boat begins to leak!

                    *             *             *

               I pray the Lord that He will rescue you;
               That He will seal the leak and tow you in.
               And after you have safely reached the shore,
               I pray that you are thankful for His love.
