Fearlessness In Danger 

NOTE: When you read this prayer, try to imagine hearing my voice as I speak
it to you.  In this way, the prayer is reactivated, and it is the same
as if I were actually praying for you at that moment.
(Just like television prayers are reactivated when you watch 
them, although the videotape may have been shot years before.)






                 
                 You sit upon your horse amid the battle;
                 Around you, shells are falling everywhere.
                 A bullet whistles harshly past your forehead;
                 Chaotic sounds of combat fill the air.
                 You raise your sword and call your men to follow;
                 A thousand soldiers rise and march behind.
                 You have no fear, because the Lord is with you;
                 He guides your hand and raises up your arm.
                 He gives you sight to see beyond the danger;
                 He leads you through the dark and chilling night.
                 The Lord is great and greatly does protect you;
                 I pray that He is always by your side.
