For Diligence 

NOTE: When you read this prayer, try to imagine hearing my voice as I speak
it to you.  In this way, the prayer is reactivated, and it is the same
as if I were actually praying for you at that moment.
(Just like television prayers are reactivated when you watch 
them, although the videotape may have been shot years before.)





                   Sometimes the goal seems very far away;
                   You wonder if you ever will arrive.
                   Sometimes you wonder if it's worth the trip
                   To reach the place that you set out to go.
                   You sometimes think that you should just give up,
                   Because the end seems farther every day.

                         *             *             *

                   I pray the Lord will hasten to your side,
                   And give to you the diligence you need.
                   I pray that He will join you every day
                   And strengthen you each step along the path.
                   And with His help, I pray you reach your goal.
