LOVE DIVINE, ALL LOVES EXCELLING - by Charles Wesley, 1747 -
Public Domain
Love divine, all loves excelling,
Joy of heav'n, to earth come down;
Fix in us Thy humble dwelling,
All Thy faithful mercies crown;
Jesus, Thou art all compassion,
Pure, unbounded love Thou art;
Visit us with Thy salvation,
Enter ev'ry trembling heart.
Breathe, O breathe Thy loving Spirit
Into ev'ry troubled breast;
Let us all in Thee inherit,
Let us find Thy promised rest;
Take away the love of sinning;
Alpha and Omega be;
End of faith, as its beginning,
Set our hearts at liberty.
Come, Almighty to deliver,
Let us all Thy life receive;
Suddenly return, and never,
Never more Thy temples leave;
Thee we would be always blessing,
Serve Thee as Thy hosts above,
Pray, and praise Thee without ceasing,
Glory in Thy perfect love.
Finish then Thy new creation,
Pure and spotless let us be;
Let us see Thy great salvation,
Perfectly restored in Thee;
Changed from glory into glory,
Till in heav'n we take our place,
Till we cast our crowns before Thee,
Lost in wonder, love, and praise.
Amen.

O Lord, we come together in Your name,
And as You promised, we know You are here.
AND SO WE WELCOME YOU WITH OPEN ARMS,
AND PRAY THAT YOU FIND PLEASURE HERE WITH US,
AS WE, YOUR LOVING CHILDREN WORSHIP YOU.
We now invite You to reveal Yourself,
And share with us Your presence, openly,
FOR YOU ARE EVERYTHING THAT WE DESIRE,
AND EVERYTHING WE HAVE, WE GIVE TO YOU.
In Jesus' holy name we pray, Amen.
The Lord, Himself, taught us to pray like this . . .
The Lord's Prayer
Our Father, who art in heaven,
hallowed be thy Name,
thy kingdom come,
thy will be done,
on earth as it is in heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread.
And forgive us our trespasses,
as we forgive those who trespass against us.
And lead us not into temptation,
but deliver us from evil.
For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory,
for ever and ever. Amen.

Matthew 6:9-13

will also forgive you: But if ye forgive not men their
trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses."

HOLY, HOLY, HOLY! - by Bishop Reginald Heber, 1827 - Public Domain
Holy, holy, holy!
Lord God Almighty!
Early in the morning
Our song shall rise to Thee!
Holy, holy holy!
Merciful and mighty!
God in Three Persons,
Blessed Trinity!
Holy, holy, holy!
All the saints adore Thee!
Casting down their golden crowns
Around the glassy sea;
Cherubim and seraphim
Falling down before Thee,
Who wert, and art, and
Evermore shalt be.
Holy, holy, holy!
Though the darkness hide Thee!
Though the eye of sinful man
Thy glory may not see;
Only Thou art holy!
There is none beside Thee,
Perfect in pow'r in
Love, and purity.
Holy, holy, holy!
Lord God Almighty!
All Thy works shall praise Thy name,
In earth, and sky, and sea;
Holy, holy holy!
Merciful and mighty!
God in Three Persons,
Blessed Trinity!
Amen.
Jesus was very clear on this point:

"Give to him who asks of you, and do not turn away from him who
wants to borrow from you." (Matthew 5:42 NASB)
_____________________________________________________________
Now of course we see the impossibility of giving every person everything
he might ask of us: we would quickly give away everything we have, and
we would then be unable to provide for ourselves and our families. Or
would we? There is a whole school of thought which says that The Lord
will repay us for helping others - even strangers - if we trust Him
to do so. To me, Jesus seems to be teaching exactly that. But others
disagree.
Either way, our first impulse should be to help however we can whenever anybody asks us directly for help; just as we would like to be helped if we ask somebody directly for it.
The Law Of Love
For the whole law is fulfilled in one word, "You shall love your
neighbor as yourself." (Galatians 5:14 RSV)
And who is your neighbor? Everyone is your neighbor!
See Luke 10:25-37, "The Good Samaritan"
The Golden Rule
"So whatever you wish that men would do to you, do so to them; for
this is the law and the prophets." (Matthew 7:12 RSV)

Some Christians believe that everybody needs Jesus Christ more than anything else, therefore we should always preach the Gospel first, before we help people in any other way. What about that?
Yes, it is true that Jesus Christ is more important than anything else. But we should never use this fact as an excuse not to help people who have other needs of immediate high priority. If someone needs food, feed him first. Then tell him about Christ when he more inclined to listen to you.

NOTE: When you read this prayer, try to imagine hearing my voice as I
speak it to you. In this way, the prayer is reactivated, and it
the same as if I were actually praying for you at that moment.
(Just like television prayers are reactivated when you watch
them, although the videotape may have been shot years before.)
Sometimes we are so wrapped up in ourselves,by William McGinnis, Public Domain
So worried with our own important lives,
That we do not take time to see the world,
Through someone else's eyes, the way he sees.
The Lord wants us to care for everyone,
To love our neighbor as we love ourselves,
But if we are to do as He commands,
We need to see our neighbor's point of view,
And give it the importance it deserves.* * *
I pray the Lord will help us take the time,
And give to us the empathy we need,
In order that we may begin to see,
The world through eyes of others than ourselves.
And once we understand his point of view,
I pray the Lord will help us more to love,
Our neighbor as we surely love ourselves.
In Jesus' holy name I pray, Amen.
If you are alone, you will needed to be both "Leader" and "Assembly," as described in the ceremony.

DO YOU KNOW JESUS? - by Rev. Bill McGinnis, 1995 - Public Domain
Do you know Jesus?
Do you know Jesus?
Do you know Jesus,
And the wonder of His love?
Yes, I know Jesus!
Yes, I know Jesus!
Yes, I know Jesus,
And the wonder of His love!
EPHESIANS 3:14-21 (KJV)
14
For this cause I bow my knees unto the Father of our Lord
Jesus Christ,
15
Of whom the whole family in heaven and earth is named,
16
That he would grant you, according to the riches of his
glory, to be strengthened with might by his Spirit in the
inner man;
17
That Christ may dwell in your hearts by faith; that ye,
being rooted and grounded in love,
18
May be able to comprehend with all saints what is the
breadth, and length, and depth, and height;
19
And to know the love of Christ, which passeth knowledge,
that ye might be filled with all the fulness of God.
20
Now unto him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above
all that we ask or think, according to the power that
worketh in us,
21
Unto him be glory in the church by Christ Jesus throughout
all ages, world without end. Amen.
