MY LORD, WHAT A MORNING - Anonymous, Public Domain

(Refrain)
   My Lord, what a morning!
   My Lord, what a morning!
   Oh, my Lord, what a morning
   When the stars begin to fall.

You will hear the trumpet sound
To wake the nations underground,
Looking to my Lord's right hand
When the stars begin to fall.

(Refrain)
   My Lord, what a morning!
   My Lord, what a morning!
   Oh, my Lord, what a morning
   When the stars begin to fall.

You will see my Jesus come,
His glory shining like the sun,
Looking to my Lord's right hand
When the stars begin to fall.

(Refrain)
   My Lord, what a morning!
   My Lord, what a morning!
   Oh, my Lord, what a morning
   When the stars begin to fall.

You will hear all Christians shout,
'Cause there's a new day come about,
Looking to my Lord's right hand
When the stars begin to fall

(Refrain)
   My Lord, what a morning!
   My Lord, what a morning!
   Oh, my Lord, what a morning
   When the stars begin to fall.

You will hear the sinners moan,
To see the rightous marching home.
Looking to my Lord's right hand,
When the stars begin to fall.

(Refrain)
   My Lord, what a morning!
   My Lord, what a morning!
   Oh, my Lord, what a morning
   When the stars begin to fall.

Invocation

             O Lord, we come together in Your name,
             And as You promised, we know You are here.

             AND SO WE WELCOME YOU WITH OPEN ARMS,
             AND PRAY THAT YOU FIND PLEASURE HERE WITH US,
             AS WE, YOUR LOVING CHILDREN WORSHIP YOU.

             We now invite You to reveal Yourself,
             And share with us Your presence, openly,

             FOR YOU ARE EVERYTHING THAT WE DESIRE,
             AND EVERYTHING WE HAVE, WE GIVE TO YOU.

             In Jesus' holy name we pray, Amen.

                     The Lord's Prayer

          Our Father, who art in heaven,
            hallowed be thy Name,
            thy kingdom come,
            thy will be done,
              on earth as it is in heaven.
          Give us this day our daily bread.
          And forgive us our trespasses,
            as we forgive those who trespass against us.
          And lead us not into temptation,
            but deliver us from evil.
          For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory,
            for ever and ever. Amen.

         "For if ye forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father

HOLY, HOLY, HOLY! - by Bishop Reginald Heber, 1827 - Public Domain

        Holy, holy, holy!
        Lord God Almighty!
        Early in the morning
        Our song shall rise to Thee!
        Holy, holy holy!
        Merciful and mighty!
        God in Three Persons,
        Blessed Trinity!

        Holy, holy, holy!
        All the saints adore Thee!
        Casting down their golden crowns
        Around the glassy sea;
        Cherubim and seraphim
        Falling down before Thee,
        Who wert, and art, and
        Evermore shalt be.

        Holy, holy, holy!
        Though the darkness hide Thee!
        Though the eye of sinful man
        Thy glory may not see;
        Only Thou art holy!
        There is none beside Thee,
        Perfect in pow'r in
        Love, and purity.

        Holy, holy, holy!
        Lord God Almighty!
        All Thy works shall praise Thy name,
        In earth, and sky, and sea;
        Holy, holy holy!
        Merciful and mighty!
        God in Three Persons,
        Blessed Trinity!

              Amen.

Scriptures And Teachings

The Only Name We Need To Know Is JESUS

By Rev. Bill McGinnis, Director - LoveAllPeople.org

In the original Hebrew Old Testament, there are several proper names used for God. The most important one is written as YHWH, usually rendered "Jehovah" or "Yahweh" in English, depending on the translation.

Young's Literal Translation (YLT) shows 6,773 references to "Jehovah" in the Bible. But all of these 6,773 references are listed in the Old Testament. Not one of them is in the New Testament!

In fact, I have been unable to find even one single reference to any Old Testament proper name for God in the New Testament! Can you find one? ("God" and "Father" and "Heavenly Father" are titles, not names.)

Why not? Why are there no Old Testament names for God in the New Testament? The reason is that Jesus and the early Christians did not use them! And if they did not use them, why should we? The fact that they did not use them actually tells us NOT to use them!

The only name we need to know is JESUS, the name above all names.

        PHILIPPIANS 2:9-10 (KJV)
         _____________________________________________________________

        9
               Wherefore God also hath highly exalted him, and given him
               a name which is above every name:
        10
               That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of
things
               in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the
               earth;

Prayer For You

For Courage When You Need It Most

                 You sometimes may be called to act in danger,
                 As when some evil thing is taking place,
                 And you alone can render needed help,
                 Or when a tragedy has just occured,
                 And you are needed to provide relief.
                 In times like these, I pray you will be strong;
                 I pray for courage when you need it most;
                 I pray that you will rise up to your task,
                 Because you know the Lord is at your side.
                 In Jesus' holy name I pray, Amen.

Benediction

As we complete our worship service today, I leave you with this blessing . . .

       EPHESIANS 3:14-21 (KJV)

        14
               For this cause I bow my knees unto the Father of our Lord
               Jesus Christ,
        15
               Of whom the whole family in heaven and earth is named,
        16
               That he would grant you, according to the riches of his
               glory, to be strengthened with might by his Spirit in the
               inner man;
        17
               That Christ may dwell in your hearts by faith; that ye,
               being rooted and grounded in love,
        18
               May be able to comprehend with all saints what is the
               breadth, and length, and depth, and height;
        19
               And to know the love of Christ, which passeth knowledge,
               that ye might be filled with all the fulness of God.
        20
               Now unto him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above
               all that we ask or think, according to the power that
               worketh in us,
        21
               Unto him be glory in the church by Christ Jesus throughout
               all ages, world without end. Amen.
